Crafternoons!

We've been getting all sorts of crafty here recently!  About a week and a half ago, a few of us went to a cork craft event at a local winery.  We sampled the wine, had some snacks, then got crazy with the glue guns and wine corks!
I was going for a more 'abstract' heart...but instead it kinda just looks like I had a bit too much wine!

I'm learning how to crochet!  It's been on my 'want to do' list for quite some time now.  The local community college offers many different types of classes that are very cheap, and we saw crochet was finally offered!  So Sarah, Lanee and I all signed up.  It was a two-part class, last week was part 1, and today was part 2.

Here's my cute little pack of crochet hooks.  (Insert Mom's cringe here!)

This was Day 1.  The woman in the white is our instructor, Nirmal.  No really.  She had crochet hooks sticking out of that hat.  No really.

We made flowers that day.  No, no wine was involved, that's just how it turned out!

Here is what happened at today's class.  I learned how to make a 'shell'.  Well, sorta.  Now I'm on my own and need to check out some You Tube videos to learn some more.  And practice those flowers.
