Christmas in Clearwater. Part I

Getting' my Holiday Hair!

The day started off well...despite the storm, roads were passable, got checked right in, security line was long but moved right along...looks like I won't have the drama of last year!

That is, until they tried to squeeze a cancelled flight from the day before in-between the in-bound flight with our aircraft and our out-bound flight.  Then the plane sat so long that it needed to be de-iced.  And now we are an hour late taking off.

That moment when you realize that your next flight took off at 1:17 and the flight you're on landed at 1:20.  Luckily, I got on the next flight out to Tampa at 3:30, so all was well.

Some pretty views from Dallas to Tampa

What a difference a few hours - and 1200 miles - makes!

"Hey, Griswold.  Where do you think you're gonna put a tree that big?"

Aiden's gingerbread masterpiece!  The Architect tried helping, but ended up knocking an entire wall out of the house.

Aiden, Court and I decorated cookies while Jamma and Kris prepped for the party the next day.  I think you can tell what cookie belongs to which artist.

Nosey and napping.  That about sums up the day for Goose and Mav

Jamma bought Aiden a Where's Waldo Santa book that kept him and Court occupied for a bit

We have Happy Hour at the house before dinner.  Tonight was margarita night!  Kris is wearing the medal I got for her graduation that says 'winner' on it.  It also doubles as a bottle opener.

I cheated on KC and had Smokey Bones BBQ for dinner.

Who is gonna win the 'Corn Competition'?  :S

Because, why not??
