There is a group at work that meets monthly for Happy Hour. For December, we decided to do a White Elephant gift exchange!
I made some sugar cookies for the event. There is a certain engineer that has a fantastic mustache, so naturally I made mustache cookies. There's another certain engineer that make a comment in a meeting about architects always adding 'tinsel and glitter' to drawing sets...with me sitting right there! So, I made the other half of those cookies as sparkly as I could! If they made edible tinsel, I would've added that too!
Here's (most of) the group. From left: Gin, Von, Sahar, Sarah, Moi, Lanee, and Ashley (pregnant with twins!!). Michele and Laura hadn't arrived yet.
Here's Laura, just in time to open her gift! ...I can't remember what it was, though!...

A pair of Wonder Woman knee-high socks, complete with cape on the back of them!
Next up was Ashley, she received a pad of paper that had fashion citations listed out on them. These could definitely be put to good use at our office!

She got some Christmas mugs, that were actually cute!
Next up was Michele. She debated about stealing the cape socks from Lanee...
...and decided to go for it. Michele is getting married next month. "I can wear these on the honeymoon!" says Michele. Please don't send pictures of that, Michele! ;)
Since Lanee's gift was stolen, she got to choose again. Her gift bag (covered in glitter) was filled with tinsel! That was gift enough, in my opinion!
But, also in there was a bottle of wine and some bath fizzies.
Gin's turn!
She got a mini bottle of wine (a 'shot of wine' as she called it!), and some other relaxation items for an at-home spa day!
Sarah's up next!
She got a reindeer bottle opener and a sweater wine koozie...do I sense a 'happy hour' theme with many of these gifts??
And finally Von!
Now, that's what I'm talking about!! Von's gift was a clock in the shape of a toilet seat, that...wait for it...makes a flushing sound on the hour! The 'giver' of this gift was given this gift from her grandfather as a joke years ago! Von hung it in her cube at work.
Here was my gift...a Sock Monkey wine koozie! He's sitting on my wine bar as we speak.
