NASCAR!

Jared put his name into a lottery at work, and won tickets to the 'Sprint Experience' at the NASCAR race last weekend. It was HOOOOTTTT (strong sun, mid-90's, humid) but we had a pretty good time!

This was the area for all of the Sprint people. They gave us a bag and a hat (which came in handy later so we wouldn't crisp up!), had a DJ/MC, just basically to amp up the crowd.

This is Kasey Kahne. Didn't know who he was until today. He's a NASCAR driver. I think he came in 14th or so in the race.

We had track passes, so we got to go down and walk around on the track for awhile.

This is the crew's side of the pit, where the tires and tools are. They were setting up and getting ready.

The Start/Finish line...fans with the track passes could come down and sign the line, write their favorite driver's number, etc.

I had to find a car to root for, so of course I went for the pink car! But, I had to stop rooting for him, he didn't do very well.

The pace car heads back in, and the race is about to start! (And I'd like to thank that guy who got in my shot...just in case the cars didn't know, the start line is 'that way'.)

They are off! The sound that they made was amazing! It was SO loud! We had to put our earplugs in after that!

According to what I heard/saw with the fans, you either love or hate this guy. I say, if you're driving an M&M car, you can't be all that bad!
