I was reading a local food blog the other day, and noticed a post about a small restaurant up in Independence, MO that had a challenge for their customers. If you could eat their SIX POUND tenderloin sandwich, the owner would give you $50! However, if you can't finish it, you owe the owner $20. Barely did I get the words 'six-pound tenderloin' of my mouth and Jared was planning our drive up there. Challenge Accepted!
He's getting nervous!
Now I'm nervous.
On the left, my tenderloin sandwich (which, by the way, was delicious). On the right...
Step 1: The meat.
Step 2: The veggies. There was the equivalent of a good-sized salad on top of that thing.
Step 3: The bread. 'Little Richard' (the self-proclaimed redneck owner) put it best: "That's what makes you swell up like a tick."
This picture sums it all up. I've seen this look. I think he's done.
He put a pretty nice (or embarrassing) dent in that thing!
Time to pay up!!
Jared is the number 39. Even with how awful he felt afterwards, he has vowed to go back and finish that challenge!
