Yesterday it was a beautiful (and slightly cool) Saturday. At the last minute we decided to check out the Miami County farm tour, sponsored by Slow Food Kansas City. There were about 10 farms participating, and we checked out three of them, all a little south of where we live. First stop was Prothe's Pecans, next we had a lot of fun at Alpacas 'R Diamonds, and finally held chickens and tasted some local Kansas wine at Somerset Ridge Vineyard.
