Jared asks me where I want to go for my birthday dinner...."Food Truck Festival!" was my response! They had one back in July, but weren't able to go, and they just so happened to have one the day after my birthday! Here's a shot of the scene...
This was the first stop on the tour. We had a 'Torta', it was a pulled pork, pinto beans, onions, and avocado on a bun that they dipped in an enchilada type sauce. Wow was it a good start to our night! Next stop was at the truck next to it for a poblano enchilada. Delicious! We're doing good so far!...
Time to sample a little grilled cheese - 3 types of cheese and ham.
Big line for the tamale truck! By the time we got to the front of the line, they had run out of any of the meat tamales for awhile, so we went with a green chile one. It was ok, not my favorite. Their meat tamales must be very good though, there was a line the whole time we were there.
We saw 'smoked meatloaf sandwich' on the menu. Ok, you talked us into it!!!

This was our favorite of the night...so far...
Final stop, fried fish! It had a cornmeal breading and wasn't greasy at all. This tied with the meatloaf for the favorite. And, a good place to call it a night! We hit 6 trucks, we wouldn't want to over-do it or anything!!! Until next time...
